Which is the rainwater capacity Vacurain system is calculated for?
According to Romanian standards this value is not a fixed one.It is related with a lot of variables, even with the “importance grade of the building”.So that for each building we may find different values.
Which is the price for Vacurain rainwater drainage system?
The price can be issued only after the calculation of each specific project.
For example the building’s dimensions, the position of the downpipes, the height of the roof, the type of supporting construction influence the pipes’ diameter and thus the price for the entire Vacurain system. The price cannot be specified by the number of roofoutlets and the surface of the roof.
Which are the main functioning requirements of the Vacurain syphonic drainage system?
- In order that the system should work properly the following conditions should be carried out:
- Free discharge of water into the underground sewerage system after the end of Vacurain system. The connected underground sewarage must be designed for the amount of water flowing from Vacurain system.
- Sufficient height of the downpipe needed for creating enough vacuum also for the most distant roofoutlets. This height depends on the amount of water and the length of horizontal branch connected to this downpipe.
- The dimensions and the location of each section of the system must be kept exactly according to the calculations and designs delivered by DYKA.
- Sucking of the air into the system must be prevented. The Vacurain roofoutlets are especially designed for preventing this.
Which is the documentation needed to design DYKA Vacurain system?
- Most important documentation is:
- dimensions of the building, roof surface – position of valleys and ridgelines, surface belonging to the valley = roof construction drawing
- height of the building (height of the roof parts)
- required location for the downpipes, location of the outside drainage connections
- position of the horizontal pipe (in the holes of concrete beams etc.) = section drawing
- location of other installations (coordination with sprinklers, air conditioner …)
- roofing material (plastic foil, bitumen, steel)
- other useful information: firewalls, office rooms location..)
When some information is missing (for example the position of the downpipes), the system can be then recalculated, but this might change the pipes’ diameters and finally the price.
DYKA provides the service, prepares the design and makes relevant calculations. DYKA also provides the technical supervising of the installation, so that you can be sure the VACURAIN system will work properly.
DYKA software used for calculating the VACURAIN system is connected to ADT program (3D Autocad).
We set the outlines of the roof parts, height and other necessary data, suggest the roofoutlets and line position and the software calculates the pipe dimensions.
The output is:
- calculations table with information about each system segment (Nr. of the segment, diameter, length, flow, speed and others).
- The scheme of the system (in .dwg format) with a legend for each system segment (diameter, length)The software enables 3D views. The schema can be saved also in Autocad LT for additional processing. We can suggest also the size of emergency roof outlets.
- Material list (MS Excel) with article numbers
- Price offer for material (MS Excel) with unit prices, total price and the number of glued joints.
When the system cannot be calculated (not sufficient underpressure, not sifficient pipe dimension or slow speed of water) another way of the system (different pipes positions, parallel pipes) must be found.
